Yesterday was spent driving around Saigon, not that much sightseeing though but got to see some stuff at least. The main goal was to find some clothes and since we are leaving today I suspect I'm gonna have to visit this city again at some point later on. The traffic is relatively crazy though, much thanks to the millions of scooters driving around the streets here. You also find strong socialist influences in this country, much more than in Laos.

Yesterday I also bought some art for around 700 000. Since I almost never by art I had to take the chance when we found a place that sold canvases with very nice motives. They are quite influenced by the propaganda poster they have here in Vietnam, an artistic style which I like quite much, simple but still very powerful. The propaganda posters are still a part of daily life here in Ho Chi Minh.

Also found a pair of Lee jeans for 1 000 000. The shoes were very hard to find though since they have the same shoe policy as in Thailand, which means no bigger size than 44. Eventually I found a Converse store which had three colors in my size, white, eggshell white and black. However it turned out that they didn't have black so I went for the eggshell ones for 800 000.

All prices are of course in Vietnamese Dong so even though I spent almost 2,5 million yesterday it equals to around 95 euros.

In the evening we went to the skybar that you can find on top of one of the buildings in this city, the views were nice and the music relatively good.

Today we are moving onwards on our trip.
